Architectural technologists work closely with architects, helping to ensure that their designs develop into fully operational structures. Architectural technologists develop architectural designs with computer-aided design (CAD). Examine and apply building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements, and other technical documents and reports. Visit building construction sites and make sure that the work is in accordance with the approved drawings. Architectural Technologists are employed by architectural firms, private corporations and governments, or they may be self-employed.
